Our white, Florida-sand beach and our three crystal clear lakes entice all who pass through our gates. Whether you wish to challenge your friend to a race on our paddle boats, par our mini-golf course or race your child down our giant water slide, you will find something for everyone at Dogwood Lakes Camping Resort. Enjoy a stay at our camping resort. Our Camping Resort is open for Day Users from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Weekends 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Weekdays 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. History of the Business: Dogwood Lake started out as a dream, Harold Wester's dream. In 1984, he bought 40 acres near Lake Malone and started digging a hole. This hole became Dogwood Lake, a five acre spring-fed fresh water lake, our central attraction. The water, crystal clear and fresh, is inspected twice a year and passes with flying colors. Along the lake, Harold trucked umpteen loads of clear white sand, a veritable Daytona Beach in Dunmor's backyard. Next came the campsites, 128, all with water and electric, 81 of them with sewer, with an attached field bed big enough for expansion. Next came the 280 foot full-loop waterslide. Description: We have 56 water and electric sites on our campground. We have 104 full hook-up sites. Basic Camping Cabins Our eight lovely Basic Cabins are located on two ponds where children will love to fish. These rustic cabins are 12 feet by 12 feet with a 6 foot porch in front. "Rustic" means that these cabins do not have bathrooms. The showers and bathrooms are about 250 feet away in the restaurant building. The cabin interior features 1 full size bed with a small bench at its foot, a bunk bed with two twin beds, wood floors, 3 windows with mini-blinds, interior and exterior lights and three electrical outlets. New Deluxe Camping Cabins We now have three Deluxe Cabins located on our 7-acre spring feed lake. Each deluxe cabin has a single bed, a queen and a futon bed, bathroom, microwave, outdoor grill, electricity, windows with shades, a fan and a porch with a table and two chairs. You may bring anything you need to complete your camping experience including a television, dvd player, etc. Hillside A-Frame Camping Cabin The cabin has a single and a full mattress upstairs, a double sofa bed and a double futon bed, bathroom with bathtub, dining room table with 6 chairs, microwave, stove, refrigerator, outdoor grill, electricity, windows with shades, upstairs and downstairs fan and a porch with table and two chairs. You may bring anything you need to complete your camping experience. Acitivities: For those who love swimming in a crystal clear lake, Dogwood Lakes features: For those who love having fun with their clothes on, Dogwood Lakes features: For those who love to eat and shop, Dogwood Lakes features: Recreation: When the sun drives the mercury off the thermometer, cool off at Dogwood Lakes. Natural springs feed our large five acre lake offering great swimming and a great place to cool down. Imported fine white sand from Florida gives our little place in central Kentucky a Caribbean feel. If you desire more activity than bronzing yourself on a beautiful beach, splash in our beautiful lake. Yellow and Blue Waterslide: Our yellow and blue water slide will slip and slide the whole family. Located next to our sandy beach, this all-time favorite runs 280 foot to a three foot shallow pool. Whether you body surf down or grap a mat, this big water slide will loop you around 360 degrees for all day fun. Kiddie Play Area: On the other side of the lake, we have jungle gym in the water designed especially for smaller children. Maximum depth in this area is three feet. Paddle Boats: Race your friends around the lake in our paddleboats. As you tour around the lake, paddle under our pedestrian bridge and pretend you're coasting along a canal in Venice, Italy. Or wet your parents under our fountain in the middle of the lake. What is there to do in the area? The Top Ten things to do outside of relaxing at Dogwood lLakes Camping Resort are: 1. Visit the Everly Brothers' Lake Malone Inn and see their collection of Gold Records and memorabilia. 2. Launch your boat and fish at Lake Malone State Park or rent a boat at Shady Cliff Inn. 3. Go for a round of 18 holes at the Dumor Lakeside Golf Course. 4. Dine at an authentic Mexican restaurant in Greenville (La Fiesta) or Russellville (Sol Azteca). 5. Visit the Jefferson Davis Monument in Fairview (7 miles west of Elkton), which resembles the Washington Monument. 6. Visit Mammoth Cave - considered one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World! 7. Visit the Shaker Museum or the Corvette Musuem, both right outside of Bowling Green. 8. Visit the Russellville Central Square on West 4th Street and see the Civil War Monument, as well as the first bank Jesse James robbed. 9. For your personal needs, there is a Dollar General Store and an IGA grocery stores 7 miles away in both Beechmont and Lewisburg. There is also a Super Wal-Mart located in Central City. 10. Attend one of the several nearby churches - Beech Creek Baptist, St. Joesph's Catholic Church, First United Methodist Church, Church of Christ, and many more.

Rates do not include tax. *We do not supply bed linens, pillows or towels. You must bring your own. However, we do have a limited supply on hand for walkins. ($8.00 cleaning fee + $20.00 deposit required) Additional campers pay as follows: Additonal Adult (11 years & up) in RV/Trailer per Night = $4.99. Additional Adult (11 years & up) in Tent per Night = $10.00. Children (3-10 years) = $3.99. 2 years old & under = FREE. Every effort will be made to accommodate specific site requests, though we cannot guarantee that all requests will be met. All camper visitors must pay gate price when visiting during swimming hours or any special events. The camping rates apply to single air conditioning with neither washer nor dryer. Coin washers and dryers are conveniently located near the bathhouse. Those campers wishing to leave their campers at Dogwood Lakes FunPark may do so at a non-electric spot for a nightly $5 charge. Dogwood Lakes FunPark is not responsible for the vehicle while it is parked and unattended. TENT CAMPING Full Hookup - $33.00 Electricity and Water - $29.00 Rustic Tent - $27.00 Campsite pricing includes 2 adults and 2 children under 17. Prices do not include tax. Every effort will be made to accommodate specific site requests, though we cannot guarantee that all requests will be met. All camper visitors must pay gate price when visiting during swimming hours or any special events. CABIN CAMPING One of our Basic Cabins may be rented for $49.00. Linen for these cabins is available to rent for $8.00 per stay per cabin with a $20.00 refundable deposit. A linen set includes 1 full flat and fitted sheet, 2 twin flat and fitted sheets, 4 pillows with pillowcases and 4 towels. Outside the cabins, there is a picnic table and a small fire pit. A water spigot is nearby. Coin washers and dryers are conveniently located near the full hookup sites. NEW DELUXE CAMPING CABINS Linens may be rented for $8 per stay, plus an additional $20 deposit. HILLSIDE A-FRAME CAMPING CABIN We also now have one A-Frame Hillside Cabin available for $99.00. Linens may be rented for $8 per stay plus an additional $20 deposit. To received a group discount, the group must have a group leader who pays fro the entire group at one time. Any members of the group paying separately will be charged with individual prices. We have a group camping area which your group can reserve at $6.00 per person per night. Waterslide Hours: Our waterslide is open every Saturday and Sunday from 10am-1pm and 1:30-4:30pm until Labor Day. Our waterslide is open every day during the week until July 31st from 11am-2pm daily. Camping is an outdoor experience and weather can play an important role in that experience. Therefore, we do not provide rain checks or refunds due to weather. Cancellation policy for Tent, Water/Electric site, 30 amp or 50 amp Water/Electric/Sewer site: A full monetary refund* minus a $10.00 processing fee can be issued for cancellations up to 3 days prior to the arrival date. Or a full credit valid for the remainder of the current season can be issued for cancellations prior to the arrival date. For all cancellations without three days notice, only a credit will be issued. No shows forfeit their entire deposit. Cancellation policy - “Top Dog’s Camping Shed” (Basic Cabin): Cabin has twin bunk beds, a full bed, electricity, windows with shades, a fan and a porch. There is no bathroom, running water, cooking or refrigeration equipment. You may bring any thing you need to complete your camping experience including a microwaves, refrigerator, grill, television, etc. Linens may be rented for $8 per stay plus an additional $20 deposit. A full monetary refund* minus a $10.00 processing fee may be issued for cancellations up to 7 days prior to the arrival date. Or a full credit valid for the remainder of the current season can be issued for cancellation prior to the arrival date. For all cancellations without seven days notice, only a credit will be issued. All refunds are processed by our Accounting Department Monday through Friday and will be mailed to you. Cash and check customers will receive a check. Credit Card customers will receive a credit on their credit card. At no time is the Front Office authorized to provide guests with cash. Further Details about Dogwood Lakes: Do we have workampers? Yes, we do have workampers. Please e-mail us if you are interested. Do we have discounts? We offer a ten (10) percent discount on valid military, AARP, and AAA card holders. The discount is for camping only, not daily gate admission. Can we get a spot in the shade? Yes, you can get a spot in the shade. You need to special request shade on your reservation, and we will do our best to meet your needs. What is our pet policy? A camper is allowed one cat or small dog per site. Attack-prone breeds are not permitted. Pets should always be on a leash, kept on your campsite and not disturb other campers. No pets are permitted in activities areas of the park. We ask that you pick up after your pet. A local kennel is available if a pet is asked to leave. Pets are not permitted in or around rental units. Cabins: We require $200 cash deposit or authorization on a credit card. If the pet damages the cabin or leaves excrement around it, you will be charged. What are our check-in and check-out times? Checkout time is noon; however, you may use our facilities until closing. Check-in is 2pm. What does the gate admission include? The gate admission includes the price for swimming in our spring-fed lake. Paddleboats, Mini-Golf and the waterslide are additional. What is our policy for reserving specific sites? We guarantee specific site locations with prepaid reservations. Do the cabins have kitchens? Our 3 Deluxe Lakeside Cabins have a microwave and mini-fridge. Our A-Frame Hillside Cabin has a stove, refrigerator and microwave. Kitchens are not included in our primitive cabins; however, we do have a great concession stand on the weekends. Do the cabins have bathrooms? Yes! Our 3 Deluxe Lakeside Cabins have a toliet and shower. Our A-Frame Hillside Cabin has a sink, toliet and bathtub/shower. Shower & bathroom facilities are located 300 feet from our primitive Basic Cabins. What is our cancellation policy? Click here to view our cancellation policy. Do we have fishing here? Yes, young children will enjoy fishing for blue gills in our private ponds. Sports fishing which requires a license is available at Lake Malone down the road. Do you have amusement park rides, go-karts, diving boards, lifeguards, or swimming platforms? No. Do we have eating facilities in the park? Yes, on the weekends we have a concession stand that is open from 9:30am to 5pm. When do we close for the season? Our camping season ends October 3rd, 2004. Our beach has no lifeguard and is open during our camping season.Our waterslide is open every weekend and holiday until Labor Day and every week day until July 30th. Owners Rate Table
