You’ll love the Alafia River RV Resort!! Shaded by huge oak trees and palm trees, the Resort is the first campground South of Tampa. We have 1,000+ feet frontage on the Alafia River, a fresh-water river that feeds into the Gulf of Mexico. Many residents enjoy the use of our concrete boat ramp, fishing pier, dock and riverfront picnic pavilion. Manatees frequently come within feet of our dock. A tranquil fountain pond adorns the center of the Resort and a nature trail steps from the river is a romantic place to take walks with someone special.
Amenities and Activities:
During the peak season (November – May), our community is very active. The Resort complex has a 3,500 sq ft air-conditioned wheel-chair accessible community center, clean restrooms and showers, a laundry facility (with new equipment), propane sales, a beautiful kidney-shaped heated pool, 5 shuffleboard courts, horseshoes and croquet. Our residents take pleasure in our many activities, such as: Sunday church services, bingo (twice weekly), theater performances, potluck and pancake dinners, shuffleboard tournaments with area Resorts, ice cream socials, water aerobics, card games, and a video and book library, to name a few. Alafia River RV Resort is computer-friendly and guests are welcome to use a dedicated modem line in our community center to access e-mail, the internet, etc.
Location:
The Alafia River RV Resort is located directly off I-75 at Exit 250. We are within 20 minutes to the outlet malls in Ellenton, 30 minutes from Busch Gardens in Tampa and 60 minutes to Disney World and other Orlando attractions.
The town of Riverview is small, however, within a mile of the Resort is a Winn-Dixie and U-Save grocery stores, many fast-food restaurants (Burger King, McDonalds, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Taco Bell and Little Caesar’s Pizza), a Post Office, Beef O’Brady’s and Kazbor’s bar/restaurants, Eckerd Drug Store and a few gas stations.
A few miles North of us in Brandon, you’ll find everything you’ll ever need. Brandon is home to the Westfield Shopping Town (formerly Brandon Town Center), known as the largest indoor mall in Tampa Bay.
Alafia River RV Resort is a great place to visit! You might want to stay a few extra days, because we know that you'll love our resort THAT MUCH!
