Nature Revives the Spirit
This ideal is embodied in every nuance of ASH GROVE Resort Cabins & Camping. Proprietors Steven and Mark are dedicated to providing you with comfortable accommodations, a relaxing sanctuary, and information on exciting escapes and day trips to make your visit to ASH GROVE a time you will always remember and to create a place and atmosphere you will long to visit again and again.
Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, ASH GROVE Resort Cabins & Camping places you in the heart of Western North Carolina's mesmerizing beauty and stimulating outdoor and cultural activities. Located on fourteen acres on a forested mountaintop, with four stylishly furnished cabins with modern amenities, RV sites and walk-in tent camping beneath the stars, ASH GROVE offers the total getaway experience.
Heralded as the "Land of Waterfalls", Transylvania County overflows with natural wonders. Hike or bike along winding trails beneath shifting backgrounds of smoky blues and lavenders. Bask in the solitude of emerald canopies in Pisgah National and Dupont State Forests, take a thrilling ride down whitewater rapids and natural rock slides, or relax on pristine courses with a leisurely round of golf. Evenings are rich with performing arts and cultural activities in Brevard and Asheville. Or, spread a blanket, drink in the crisp, clean air and watch the shifting skies and dancing stars. Adventure. Culture. Leisure. ASH GROVE has something for everyone.
The Spirits of the 4 Seasons at Ash Grove
In Winter at ASH GROVE you'll bask in the romantic light of gas log fires, cuddle in warm blankets, and experience dazzling crystal clear skies. Leafless trees make for broader vistas and easier sightings of our famous white squirrels. Fewer visitors allow for quiet solitude on the mountain trails, and there is nothing like viewing waterfalls gleaming with icicles and the occasional snow. Romance, sky gazing, solitary hikes and mild weather (avg. temp 40°) make this season an absolutely magical time to visit.
Spring awakens the fauna and flora of the mountains. You will awaken to the melodies of songbirds and the fragrances of delicate wildflowers. Biking under a canopy of budding trees, hiking to waterfalls made more dramatic by a Spring shower, or golfing on an emerald course lined with a rainbow of flowering azaleas and dogwoods, will make your spirit sing in Spring.
A warm Summer day, puffy white clouds in an azure sky drifting over the lush green mountaintops, is the perfect time for an tube ride down the river, a leisurely hike to a mountain overlook, a refreshing dip below a misty waterfall, or stretching out on your cabin's porch swing with your favorite beverage and a book. Add to this our local festivals, outdoor concerts, mild temperatures (avg. 74°), and you have a recipe for a refreshing Summer visit.
Glorious Autumn! The mountainsides painted with a palette of reds, golds, and greens, beckon you for a breathtaking drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway, a romantic picnic by a babbling stream, or a bike ride in the leaf-strewn forest. While the days are meant to be filled with activities, the cooler Fall evenings are especially created for lounging around a toasty bonfire making s'mores back at ASH GROVE. Whether you need activity or relaxation, Autumn is your season.
Dinner on the town or burgers on the grill. Snow skiing or water-skiing. A concert by renowned musicians or the music of katydids and owls. An invigorating hike or a snooze in a porch swing. A toasty bonfire or a cool mountain stream. A shopping trip for crafts and antiques or a canoe trip down the river. A round of golf or a festival on the town square. Bird watching or flying in a hot air balloon. You will find what your spirit needs at ASH GROVE, Brevard and Western North Carolina, your year-round paradise.

Description of RV and Tent Campsites at Ash Grove:
ASH GROVE, under a different name, began 30 years ago as a small campground and evolved into a cabin resort. Honoring our roots, we have reintroduced camping into our spectacular setting by upgrading the old RV sites and adding secluded tent sites. With just 5 RV sites and fewer than 20 tent sites, we offer a quiet, uncrowded camping experience--a relaxing alternative to the hustle and bustle daily life.
Our on-site amenities include a covered pavilion, bonfire pit, badminton, horseshoe pit, hiking trails, a small stream & waterfall, and the beauty and serenity of our mountain setting.
Cabins and sites for RVs that are self-contained (have their own bathrooms) are open year round. The bathhouse will be closed for the winter Jan thru Mar, so tent camping will be unavailable during those months.
We do allow pets in the campsites. Please see our pet policy on the "Policies" page.
Hook-up with Nature
Our newly renovated sites cater to the smaller (34' or less) RV or trailer (perfect for pop-ups!), and are equipped with 30Amp electric and water hook-ups, a picnic table and fire ring/grill. We have a dump station and a brand new bathhouse. Our shady, graveled sites are situated for your privacy and relaxation. With a limited number of sites, reservations are strongly recommended. Open year round.
Stellar Sites
Our new walk-in tent sites allow you to experience camping the way it was meant to be--no headlights, no traffic noise, no TV--just the golden glow of a campfire, the relaxing sounds of nature, and a sky awash with stars. An easy walk (25 to 200 yards) from the parking area at our new bathhouse, each secluded site has a picnic table and a fire ring/grill (but no electricity or water). We provide carts to help you load in your gear. Carved from the forest, these sites are designed for small to medium-sized tents. The tent pads range from 7' X 7' to 10' X 14'. Larger tents are accommodated in our "Techno Tent Sites". Reservations are strongly recommended. Open Apr thru Dec.
Techno Tent Camping
We have a few tent sites available with water and electricity, for those who need to bring along their modern conveniences (and the sites are close to the courtesy phone and modem connection, too!). These shady, drive-to sites include a water spigot & electric outlets, picnic table and fire ring/grill. Open Apr thru Dec.
